Dr. Xiaowen Wang received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering with highest honors from Tsinghua Univeristy, Beijing, China, in 1993, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, in 1999 and 2000, respectively. Upon graduation, Dr. Wang joined Bell Lab, Lucent Micro-electronics, later spun off as Agere Systems. During her years in Agere Systems (then LSI Logics and Infineon Technologies), Dr. Wang worked on various communication systems, such as WiFi, DVB-H, cellular and read channel. Her work covered many aspects of system optimization, including PHY layer signal processing algorithm, high layer protocol and hardware architecture. Dr. Wang was also actively involved in a lot of standard activities and drafted contributions to IEEE 802.11n and 3GPP. In April 2009, Dr. Wang joined Appleā€™s Iphone Software team. Her current work is focused on transceiver design for all communication systems in next generation Iphone.
